Ring Bearers Shouldn't Carry the Real Rings - #1


1 Have done it and 5 thought it good to know.

Never let the ring bearer carry the real rings! At my first wedding ever, while the rest of the service was going on, the ring bearer…

  • untied the rings
  • apparently decided he shouldn’t have done this
  • then decided he had better secure them with an over hand knot
  • that was fun, so he did it again
  • and again
  • and again (etc.)

Until, by the time I got the pillow with the rings, there was an inch of over hand knots securing them. Normally I don’t take a knife with me to the altar, so it took me about 2 minutes to get the rings off the pillow.

Definitely a slow moment in the wedding.
