Geeky Stuff

• NewWineskins.org was built using Ruby on Rails .
• All of the development tools run under "OS X", I just need a faster Mac .
• Textmate for editing.
• Version Control is handled by svnX .
• The deployment tool is Capistrano .
• The little bit at the end of the registration page that makes it difficult of spam robots to register is called Simple Captcha . That took a while to track down because I didn't know that technology was called "captcha".
• The Scriptaculous plug-in did the heavy lifting for the in place editing and other javascript stuff.
• The little bit of graphics is done with The Gimp .
• I used HAML/SASS for the views and style sheets.
• Lastly, the site is hosted on RAILSplayground . Their tech support was very helpful in clearing the last couple of hurdles in deploying Extreme Seminary.
